About The Gallery
Established in 2008, Nissarana Galleries is situated in two vibrant locations: Noosa Heads, Queensland, on the prestigious Hastings Street, and Richmond, Melbourne, Victoria, on the bustling Bridge Road. The gallery proudly showcases a curated collection of some of today's most talented modern artists. Visitors to our two spacious galleries will discover exquisite collections of high-quality artworks, including paintings, ceramics, fine-art photography, and sculpture, crafted by award-winning artists from Australia and abroad. These works are featured in both group and solo exhibitions throughout the year.
Central to our curation, philosophy is a focus on artists whose works reflect a strong sense of spirituality. At Nissarana Galleries, we strive to exhibit pieces that delve into the deeper meanings of human existence and explore universal truths. Whether drawing from ancestral knowledge or tapping into their own wellsprings of creativity, the expressions and narratives of our artists resonate with themes of culture and spirituality. Through their diverse perspectives, these works invite viewers to contemplate and draw closer to their own inner freedom and happiness. The name 'Nissarana,' meaning ‘freedom’ or the absence of bonds, reflects our commitment to fostering an environment of liberation and expression.
Nissarana Galleries proudly supports the Elsa Primary School in India via Global Giving. We donate monthly to provide an education to over 40 children from the Bodhgaya Villages who otherwise would not receive one.
